Damn he has tinnitus and still does the damn thing! WOW. I believe I was recently suffering from this coming off of a super painful tooth infection that I believe spread to an ear infection. I have played guitar forever but all of a sudden I couldn't take ANY treble. I could handle a little but not much at all, its like I heard the treble registers 4 million times more sensitive than normal, loud was out of the question but treble was the real enemy,? I am getting better now but still sucks.

@mastermaybe The name of the video is Crown XTi Amplifiers & System Architect Cut and paste from above. This is the PRO amp that we are talking about as it relates to this video. Here is the specs right off the box of? the Crown 2000 xti. 475W per channel @ 8 ohms, 800W per channel @ 4 ohms, and 1000W at per channel @ 2 ohms. How is that for free lunch.

Maybe not.. You would not add the resistances if in parallel. you would halve it. Two 8 ohm speakers in parallel is 4 ohms. The rail voltage of the amp is fixed but the current it is capable of delivering is not. So the lower ohm load would pull twice the current and the amp would deliver twice the wattage. Also you would never connect the multiple speakers in series to a pro amp unless YOU are just confused or? want to confuse others.

I understand your weight reduction, but running multiple loupseakers on a given channel to increase resistance (and thus, power) really doesn't increase SPL, as you're then dividing the current between 2 or more loudspeakers. But, you DO get to provide a wider sound array, and have a small increase in SPL due top multiple dirvers...epsecially? if co-located. I'm sure you know this, just don't want to confuse others. thanks for the vid!

Hello, i hope you can help me with the crossover set up on this amp. I usually use mi hi/mids through Channel 1 and bass through channel 2. i am trying to keep this set but i want, at the same time, use the crossover on the amp but when do this the amp starts shooting the whole range through one channel and thats not what i am looking for. I for one know that these amps are outstanding. We own two? Crown XTi 4000 amps and a Crown CE 2000 that we bought years ago that is still going strong. I give the XTi series amps a 10/10 rating!

for that amp you need to use the the 2 outer terminals...you probably hooked up the subs wrong too? if they are out of sync...if your subs are dual 4 ohm you can hook them up to 1 ohm...but if its dual 2 ohm you cant cuz that amp isnt stable at .5 ohms

My monoblock has 4 terminals. what does that mean? Its a hifonics brutus brz1700. I ran it in parallel and? noticed the subwoofers were out of sync. I ran the both woofers directly to the amp and the problem stopped. Its currently running at 2 ohms. I want it to run at 1 ohm. What am I supposed to do?

Its just proper electrical procedure mainly to make sure that you dont short out any unintended circuits while youre working and until you make certain that everything is wired correctly in terms of polarity and routing. If everything is live or ON and you touch the wrong wires? together u can cross-short/ backfeed into the wrong circuit and cause some serious damage. Electicity is a funny fuck, u never know where itll go, but chances are, into something expensive...

yes he is indeed ive seen him a bunch of times with the Crowes before he left then had the chance to see him when I moved to Long Beach, CA since he lives in the area and?? so I got to see him with his neptune blues band at Alex's bar for free. It was probably the most fortunate moment for me that the fact I was able to see him play in a little bar like that in front of 30 or 40 people. He is also just a real nice down to earth guy along with being an amazing guitarist.

basically control? the amount of bass sound your sub puts out. The higher the ohms the less base and the lower the ohms the more base. Ohms are like resistors, so higher = more resistance, lower = less resistance.

The black lead of the meter is connected to the chassis ground in an empty screw hole and doesn't require holding. With one hand, hold the red meter lead on the test point. With the other hand, turn the bias pot with a small screw driver. Thankfully, this leaves? no hands to touch anything else to possibly get shocked. Also, as mentioned in this video, if the amp is weak, first check the solder connections on the tube sockets as these are a common problem area.

the "60mV" is for this amp only. A four tube amp (or any other amp for that matter) will have different biasing requirements. Do an internet search for the phrase "biasing Duncan"? and read that FAQ. Once you have read it, you should have a better understanding.

There are two voltages here, the bias control voltage and the voltage drop across the 1.0 ohm cathode-to-ground resistor which represents the actual bias current. - before you change your power tubes, make sure that the solder connections between the tube socket pins and the PC board are not cracked. A? bad solder connection at this point (which is very common) can cause the sound you are describing. As for power tubes, if you want a very clean, dynamic response, I recommend the Sovtek 6L6WXT+ or the SED 6L6GC. The KT66, 5881, JJ 6L6 tubes are soft and compress very quickly.

You should have put a square wave into the circuit to measure the rise time and relate it to the bandwidth. You could then show the time-bandwidth product. In addition, using the lag network, by varying the width of the square wave you could emphasize the linear portion of the exponential rise in voltage. you honestly dont seem to know anything about guitars. it doesnt take an expensive "real" gibson to get a good tone. It takes a good player... if you cant make a cheap japanese guitar sound good, and need a "real Gibson" to make your sound sound "good" you suck at playing. I've owned both. and i currently own a vintage les paul. but i know (cause i have actually taken the time to learn) that a good musician can make any instrument sound good. he does a? damn good job on his reviews.

As I understand it MOSFETs are transistors that a mostly used for switching, and with good reason. I have designed a? very simple audio amplifier based around the Analog Devices ADAU1592 with much success. This video is really insightful as I am working on a dissertation that is based around Class D usage compared to other less efficient Class types. As already said, I also recommend Analog Devices for any op-amp/audio semiconductors - my initial Class D amplifier design had a severe fault with the FET controller IC, using the ADAU1592 my design became very basic but it worked straight away!
