i did this once when i was in my pool just swimming around? under water i decided to just go down and sort of relax under water and i ended up staying down for over 2 and a half minutes which is pretty good for me (im very young) and all i do is swim on a team and rarely dive, i felt almost as if i was asleep but just let the water move me

What kind of 'currency' is this "minit"? ;-) is it like a mini minute? :D I must say if you can do 10 minutes + You belong to a very, very exclusive club of just a handful of? people: Stefan Mifsud, Tom Sietas, Stig Serverinsen, Branko Petrovic.

Remember it's not about distance nor is it about time. It's about relaxation, enjoyment and great? feelings.

really weird when i moved my arms it felt really weird and i was definatley under for longer than 2 mins but not at anytime did i feel the need to breath. Even when i came out of the water i didnt feel the need to breath. It was weird? but also relaxing i almost fell asleep

it was soo weird as i watched this video which lead to another and this ''other'' video (it was some guy freediving 88 metres)and he had this cool technique. so later that evening i tried it out and think i entered the state of flow. Normally you try to take my mind off of the thought of taking a breath but i always have it in the bac of my head but this time i didnt i felt relaxed and ?

Only try new things in water with a capable buddy, actually only freedive with a buddy. No I've never been to the US, I've seen some? video's of the Florida springs and they looked beautiful, very cozy and mystical! Find a buddy on Deeperblue and share the joy!

Of course, I mainly do apnea walks. I recently, started an apnea prone to stand then walk. Thinking it may help to prevent black? outs from a quick rise. But yes, always test on land, then pools, then go out to the springs and have fun =). I know there are quite a few here, I meant have you ever attended one?

Thank you everybody for helping me out Voting on the Maurice Lacroix website for my Personal Assistant job in France! There is still 1 week to go, so If you people can all give me back a little help by voting on me, Kars,[link above in video informationbox] that would really help to get me elected to the job! I'm planning to do some good video for Sebastien Murat, and maybe he can return the favour shooting a video of me doing a unassisted deep "frog? flow" dive in the Mediterranean. Thank YOU!

I cannot post links here, but search the forum on Deeperblue for "Finding Flow in Freediving" - You'll see mine research and comments. In Florida there are Several Freediving Instructors, Martin Stepanec, WR-level freediver, has the Freediving Instructors International school. You can also search for Performance Freediving, SSI, and AIDA (the global freediving record/education federation). Take note of the list and try it during walks and or other activities, do think it through before? testing.

I? am really interested in some of your techniques you've been experimenting with. If you wouldn't mind posting some of these researched techniques and the basic principles behind them, I would appreciate it. Did you go any of the freediving schools? I live in Florida, where diving is big. I am always looking to learn more about the processes involved in freediving and different techniques to combat the stressors of diving!
By: ookiemand. on 13 May 12, 07:04:09
Yes, especially because I can enjoy and focus on the falling sensation and the water flowing over my skin sensation. I recommend trying Watsu,? something almost everyone can do without any training.

does "flying" help? you hold your breath longer?
By: reversecy. on 11 May 12, 12:55:06
thanks? !!

I strongly advise to go learning from a freediver in person! - your lack of knowledge is dangerous to yourself. At least search and read up on the Deeperblue forum. Equalisation: Valsava technique - pinch your nose, apply gentle pressure and hear and feel your eardrums bent (back outward). Do? this many times, before and during the dive down. Up the air comes back out out of your ears automatically. Avoid diving when congested. It also works in planes, mountains, tunnels.

no CO2 earning, be careful about your assumptions! I'm "packing", it's swallowing in air to the lungs (not the stomach). I use that in this case to fill up the last parts of the lungs with less effort then inhaling full with all the chest? muscles involved.

I? agree, It's my goal to find the understanding of my body and mind and with that best ways to practise and enjoy!
